MIGHTY TO SAVE

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Ephesians 6:10 NKJV

Where is your trust? is it in  your connections, in your family, in your abilities, in your businesses, or in your parents. Trust in the Lord with all your heart do not lean on your own understanding. Trust in God's Might.

I thrive on planning and preparing. Being a Pastor’s wife, recently my husband asked me to teach the word in one of the Sunday services. I had a lot to accomplish that particular week so I knew I wouldn’t have the time I usually like to have to prepare extensively for the sermon, so I said no to the request. A few days after I got a strong sense and it became clear to me that reason I said no was because I was relying on my strength to deliver. Not that planning and preparing is bad but the heart of it is that I was relying on my skill of preparation to pull off a gorgeous sermon.

Many times we tend to trust our abilities and strengths and that blinds us from what God can do hence missing all the opportunities God has in store for us His dear children.

He calls us to Himself daily not because of what we can do, but because of what He can do in us. He causes us to will and to do of His good pleasure. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, mind and strength because in your weakness His strength is made perfect. When you are weak the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of you to give you strength for any situation or challenge you might be facing.

Living a life of surrender will enable you to say yes to Jesus at all times regardless of what’s going on in your life. Because it’s not about you, it’s about Him, it’s not about what you can do or can’t do, its not about your background, experiences or current state. It is about Jesus who is Mighty to save.

IT IS ABOUT US BEING STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT.
