Speaking with Poise and Assurance. Public speaking is a way of sharing your ideas with the public or a means of communication and not a performance. It’s a skill that can be learnt by almost everyone. When preparing to speak, we have got to be at our best physically and mentally. Have enough rest, do not stay up till late. Dress smart and comfortable. Public speaking is a skill everyone needs to take on because you never know when you will make use of it. Growing up I was very fearful, shy and timid. We all know that those qualities don’t suit a remarkable public speaker. I never ever thought that one day I would stand before the public and speak. It was far from my dreams, desires and passions. Worse still I was never interested in speaking before people. I have learnt that one has to be confident to command attention and authority even as you speak. HONOR  IS DUE Honor is a discipline that all leaders must embrace. It’s the quality of knowing and doing what is right. We are called to a life of humility and submission to the Lordship of Christ. He washed the feet of the disciples and we ought to follow that example. Our lives are not our own therefore we should live a life of simplicity always ready to go an extra mile for the people we lead. Culture of Honor is looking at people for who they are rather than what they are doing. Calling out greatness in people by acknowledging the gifting or calling on their life. The need to seek first to understand then be understood. As The body of Christ, we have got to always look at each other the way God looks at us. A classic example is of a minister living in sin and yet continues to minister in power by God’s Grace.
