When we find ourselves worried and full of anxiety, that’s a sign that we are not trusting in God. “Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing], “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
God is our sustenance, and the lifter of our heads. When you’re emotionally down turn to Him as your refuge and strength your ever present help in trouble. He delivers you from the snare of the Fowler and from the perilous pestilence.
We are covered under His feathers, And we are to take refuge under His wings; A thousand may fall at our side, And ten thousand at our right hand; But it shall not come near us. He promises no evil to befall you, Nor any plague to come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Let us rest in the knowledge that when we call upon The name of the Lord, He will answer; He promises to be present when we are in trouble; He will deliver us and honor us.
