One true friend

You have set your glory 

Above the heavens from the lips 

Of your children

You have ordained Praise and Worship

All over the earth

When I consider  the heavens the works of your hands

The moon and the stars

Nothing compares to your strength.


You’re my Lord

You have given me the chance to live again

I will worship you 

All the days of my life

So I lift up my voice 

To glorify your name

You will always be 

My one true friend


Many times I’ve been let down 

By so many friends thinking that they will always be there for me

In the hardest of times

With the last gasp I called your name 

In great despair, depression heartache and pain

You hearkened to my cry

Wiped all my tears and came to my rescue

And set my feet on solid ground


Now I stand strong confident and 

Secure in you

Even when I fall your always there 

To pick me up again

You Are My True Friend

I have learnt over time to make friends. This hasn’t come easy and it was one of the hardest things for me while growing up. Even now I am hesitant to make friends but I know pretty well that relationships are very important and they get you closer to your dream.   Everyone needs a friend, one to laugh with, share deep things with and one who can offer a shoulder to cry on. I want to introduce you to a friend I met who has stood closer than a brother. He is ever present. His love for me is not conditional. He is patient with me, very polite and not pushy but yet very wise and full of insight.   He is gentle and he knows me perfectly well. He is the Holy Spirit . Some call Him the Holy Ghost.
