Born to Thrive

Psalm 139:143-14 For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Growing up, our house was always full, with cousins, friends, uncles, aunties, 9siblings basically we were an extended family. I was inward focused, very reserved, introverted and hated crowds. As a young girl I was lost and lonely, rarely played and always found myself living under other people’s spot light.

One of those days I landed on this verse!!!!!!!!!  My frame was not hidden from God when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. He says His eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. Shaped my delicate inside and my intricate outside and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. All the days of my life which I didn’t know about were all written in his book.

With this knowledge the choice is mine to walk with my head up high. My past no longer matters, what matters right now is that the most High is on my side. He saw substance in me being yet unformed. He knows me by name and holds me in high esteem.

He saw who He created you to be before you became you.

For you, O lord, will bless the righteous. With favor you will surround him as with a shield. This is one of the promises we should always remind ourselves about. As a Christian you should be confident that you are highly favored and this should be your expectation in every space you step. So when faced with scares of rejection, declare that you are surrounded by God’s shield of love. So no need to fear, no need to worry, no need to carry around a cast down soul. Let’s hope in God and be assured that God rescues us from every hidden trap of the enemy, from false accusations and every mountain that seems to want to exalt itself.

God is your glory and the one who lifts up your head. Do not rely on your circumstances, your environment, job, career, friends, family, and experiences to define how you will carry yourself. The doctor’s report will not determine your status.  Shame has no entrance in your life, it doesn’t matter what my bank account says or what I have done or not done. What matters right now is that the King of Kings is my Glory, therefore I live knowing I’m pleasant and magnificent, a royal Priesthood a Holy Nation God’s special person.
