HAVE FAITH IN THE POWER OF GOD
When Abraham was 99 years old and his wife Sarah had hit 90 they both had lost hope of ever having children. According to human knowledge they were barren, but Abraham believed God and considered not his own body being dead and closed his eyes to what his body was telling him.
God calls those things which are not as though they are. He called Abraham and told him to get out of his country from his family and from his father’s house, to a land which God would show him. He promised to make Him a great nation; to bless him and make his name great and that through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. He promised to make him the father of many nations. God showed Abraham the stars in the sky and promised him that his children would be innumerable like the stars.
There’s no way Abraham would put his trust in man, because according to science it takes two to tango and when it comes to making babies, the age of both dancers may play an equally important role. Studies show that the age of both the female and male partner can have just as big an impact on fertility and the time it takes to successfully conceive a child. Considering fertility declines with both male and female age, Abraham decided that his faith would not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
God is the same yesterday today and forever and He is calling us to look to the cross, to stop trusting in the wisdom of man, for the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. God promises to destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Where is your faith right now? As humans it is easy to put our faith in our skills and knowledge, our careers, our businesses, our connections and in our jobs. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But I urge everyone reading this to trust in the Name of Our God always. Because He has the Power to open for you all the doors that are shut, He has the power to heal you from any kind of addiction, in Him is the power to heal every disease, He has the power to restore every broken relationship, to mend the broken hearted. Reconciliation is His design. So whatever you are struggling with right now, I want you to know that there’s Power in the Name of Jesus.
Do not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation. In this Gospel therein lies your breakthrough. Do not give up, rely on, trust in, linger, abide, have hope that in the power of God you are victorious. In the Power of God every road block and hindrances paves way for you.
YOUR FAITH SHOULD NOT BE IN THE WISDOM OF MEN BUT IN THE POWER OF GOD.
